Artist Statement:
Since 1985 I have explored a number of artistic mediums, including book-making, fine art printing, black and white infrared photography, metal-smithing, Japanese flower arranging and other contemplative arts, and oil painting. It has been a process of discovery, a peeling away of layers, if you will, only to find the brilliant nothingness at the core. This allows the colors to speak for themselves. I do not control the paint, the paint controls me.
