Artist Statement:
Sometimes I think I have multiple personalities. There is the one who wants to be a "serious artist" creating "important work". Then there is the fun, goofy person who laughs at the world and especially herself. Lately, I am focusing on the latter, making painted papier-mâché sculptures. Some of these projects are client requests, others leak from my overactive imagination, many are just for fun. In a world gone haywire, what’s wrong with a little fun? These pieces may never be shown in a museum or a gallery or on the cover of an art magazine, but so what? Making art makes me happy; and that’s enough..for now.
