Artist Statement:
Often described as a transformation of modern landscape, James Key shines a light on the coexistence of technology, industry & humanity. Applying photographic and printmaking techniques with a painterly hand in an amalgamation of encaustic, ink and resin, remnants of urban decay are abstracted into a new aesthetic. It is here our unrelenting connection with our surroundings are revealed, and our affection for the textures of our world rediscovered.
